The following transactions, assets, and activities are prohibited on EscrowSign. Attempting to transact in prohibited categories will result in immediate rejection and may be reported to relevant authorities.

- Illegal goods or services
- Stolen property
- Counterfeit goods
- Fraud or deceptive practices
- Sanctions evasion
- Money laundering
- Terrorist financing
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and regulated weapon components
- Controlled substances and illegal drugs
- Unlicensed medicines
- Unsafe or recalled products
- Child sexual abuse material or exploitative content
- Non-consensual intimate content
- Personal data sold without lawful authority
- Hacked accounts or stolen credentials
- Malware, ransomware, spyware, or unauthorised access tools
- Fake identity documents
- Bribery or corruption
- Illegal gambling
- Pyramid or Ponzi schemes
- Transactions designed to disguise ownership or source of funds
- Transactions involving sanctioned persons, entities, wallets, vessels, regions, or prohibited sectors
- Assets that cannot legally be transferred
- Accounts whose platform terms prohibit transfer
- Unregistered securities or investment schemes
- Fractional property investments unless fully authorised
- Anonymous bearer instruments where prohibited
- Wildlife and cultural-property trafficking
- Embargoed goods
- Tax evasion
- Sham transactions with no genuine underlying sale
- Transactions intended to process payments for unrelated third parties
- Any activity that creates unacceptable legal, financial-crime, reputational, or consumer-harm risk
Compliance and enforcement
EscrowSign screens all transactions, users, and assets against prohibited-use rules, sanctions lists, and risk indicators. Transactions may be rejected, suspended, frozen, or reported at any stage. Staff may not override a prohibited status without documented senior compliance and legal approval. If you believe a transaction has been incorrectly declined, contact support through the official website.
