Fees and Pricing Policy

Effective date: [To be confirmed]Version: Draft 1.0

All fees payable to EscrowSign are disclosed before you commit to a transaction. You will always be able to see the full fee breakdown before accepting transaction terms. No fee will be deducted without prior disclosure and agreement.

Fees charged by licensed payment, escrow, and verification partners are governed by those partners’ own pricing terms and are shown separately where applicable.

1. Platform coordination fee

A fee is charged for use of the Platform’s transaction coordination, workflow management, audit trail, and dispute services. This fee is calculated based on the transaction value, asset category, and applicable jurisdiction.

[PLACEHOLDER — Specific fee schedule (percentage and/or flat fee tiers) to be confirmed.]

2. Who pays the fee

The transaction terms specify which party pays the platform fee. The default is split equally between Buyer and Seller, but parties may agree a different allocation during the transaction wizard. The agreed allocation is binding and recorded in the transaction terms.

3. Payment partner fees

The licensed payment or escrow partner may charge separate fees for payment processing, currency conversion, holding, and release. These fees are displayed within the transaction workspace and are governed by the partner’s own pricing terms.

[PLACEHOLDER — Specific partner fee details to be confirmed once partners are selected.]

4. Verification fees

Identity and business verification is provided by third-party providers. Some verification tiers may attract a fee, which will be disclosed before you are asked to proceed.

[PLACEHOLDER — Confirm whether verification fees are passed through to users or absorbed by the Platform.]

5. Dispute administration fee

A dispute administration fee may be charged when a formal dispute is raised. This fee is disclosed before the dispute is submitted. Where a dispute is resolved in the Buyer’s favour due to documented Seller misrepresentation, the Seller may bear the dispute fee.

[PLACEHOLDER — Confirm dispute fee structure with legal counsel.]

6. Currency conversion

Where the transaction currency differs from the funding currency, currency conversion is performed by the licensed payment partner at the rate available at the time of conversion. Exchange rate risk is borne by the funding party unless otherwise agreed in the transaction terms.

7. Taxes

Fees are displayed exclusive of any applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax) unless stated otherwise. Where taxes apply, they will be displayed separately before you confirm. You are responsible for all taxes applicable to your transaction. EscrowSign does not provide tax advice.

8. Fee changes

We may update our fee schedule. Changes will be communicated by in-app notification at least [PLACEHOLDER — notice period to be confirmed] days before they take effect. Fees applicable to transactions already in progress at the time of a fee change are not affected.

9. Refunds of fees

Platform fees are non-refundable once a transaction has been activated, except as specified in the Refund, Cancellation, and Chargeback Policy. Where a transaction is cancelled before activation due to a verification failure or jurisdiction ineligibility, the platform fee will not be charged.
